Our Objectives

The relief of sickness in the state of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, supporting the charitable work of hospitals and other similar institutions, by financial and material contributions towards improving and maintaining the standards of comfort for patients and residents in the hospital and similar institutions.

To raise awareness of health issues amongst the African and Caribbean community, and to be affiliated to other voluntary health groups.

The relief of sickness in the Caribbean territories in such ways as the Executive Committee may from time to time decide and the rendering of relief to persons who are in circumstances of need, hardship and distress.

The Grenada Voluntary Hospital Committee (GVHC) was formed by three Grenadian nurses in 1967. It is a registered charity and is one of the oldest Grenadian-focused voluntary groups in Britain.

Grenada’s serving High Commissioner to London has traditionally been its Patron.
