·         The GVHC has supported the General Hospital in Grenada since 1967. It has also supported the St Martin’s Home for the Aged in Crochu, St Andrews, Grenada as well as other institutions.

 

·         In June 2004 the GVHC adopted the Female Medical Ward of the General Hospital and a plaque has been placed in the ward in recognition.

 

·         In July 2005 the GVHC helped finance a project to re-equip schools in Grenada with computers that were lost as a result of hurricane Ivan.

 

·         In 2006 the GVHC sent a shipment of goods and medical supplies to the St Martin’s Home for the Aged in Crouchu, St Andrews.

 

·         In 2007 the GVHC celebrated its 40th anniversary at a ceremony in central London and Grenada’s Minister of Health delivered the feature address. The Minister gave the GVHC an award on behalf of the government and people of Grenada.

 

·         In August 2008 GVHC donated medical supplies and equipment to the Femail Medical Ward of the Hospital. The handover ceremony was attended by Grenada's Minister for Health. The ceremont was reported on the local TV news. The Minister for health received the equipment of behalf of the government and people of Grenada.

 

·      In August 2008 the Male Medical ward was adopted. Prior to adopting the Male and Female Medical Wards the GVHC sponsored the children’s ward (Norton Ward) for over 30 years. The GVHC has also assisted the hospital in Carriacou.

 

·         In 2009 the GVHC made a donation towards the cost of rebuilding the parish church in Victoria, St Marks that was severely damaged during Hurricane Ivan in September 2004.

 

·         In 2010 further assistance was made to the St Martins Home for the Aged, in Crouchu, St Andrews.

 

·         In 2011 assistance was given to Beaulieu RC School, Belair Children Home and Fr Halirion Cheshire Home for the Aged, Mt Rodney, St Patrick’s.

 
      ·        In 2012 GVHC finianced the shipment to the Ministry of Health Grenada of 6 CompoGuards machines donated by the Blood for Life Foundation.
            CompoGuards machines are used to help hospitals manage blood transfusion more efficiently. 
 
      ·        In 2014 GVHC donated £1000 to the Richmond Hill Home for the Elderly to purchase items to improve the comfort and dignity of it's residents. See details

      ·        In 2015 GVHC donated £5000 to the Ministry of Health towards the purchase of replacement microscopes for the General Hospital. See handover photo

The GVHC is proud to have made a contribution to the welfare of the people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique Grenada and hopes to continue doing so for many years to come.
